Trey's First Snow Day!

Let's do it.... Let's go get big brother Tyler!

I love his expression...

Off they go to snow ball fight...

Tessa still not sure about all this..

2nd day with the snow and it is melting fast....

Tatumn enjoying the 2nd day out when it is less frigid....

Since Trey has been home he has been asking to see snow..... Well, it finally happened for him.

Although he hates to be cold he had absolutely no problem getting out in the snow. Tessa and Trey enjoyed their fun filled white day. Once a year and only for a day is about all I can handle with all the extra gear that is involved. The kiddos look foward to a snow day at least once per winter.

Surprise Visit to Lori in Wisconsin

It all started around Christmas when Eric (Lori's hubby answered the phone) I asked if I could come visit and surprise her...

We have never met and at the end of January I boarded a plane to Wisconsin to surprise a dear friend whom I have talked with since our process with Tessa in 2006. We have a great group of families on a email group where all of us families can talk and support each other through our Taiwan adoptions. This is where it all began for Lori and I. She was referred a sweet baby girl shortly after our referral of Tessa. Throughout our long court processes to our daughters, we laughed, got frustrated, and cried. She was such a great support and therapist(he he) while we both waited. So I decided to hope on a plane to Wisconsin the last week of January(NUTS!!!)and fly to surprise her and her kiddos.... Her hubby Eric and family and friends kept it top secret.... So Lori pulled up in her garage and I went out to surprise her. Wyatt her oldest said Mommy who is that and as she looked up out of her mouth came what the Heck are you doing here and then in January of all times..... I know this is not probably the best way to meet someone for the first time to show up and plant yourself as a complete stranger in their home for 3 days but it was just like I thought it would be... Just like I've known her for more then 3 years.... Although she is shorter then I thought... LOL. We enjoyed the next few days checking things out around the area.... Freezing my boody off. Then another family who adopted from our same facility in Taiwan came to meet me also at Lori's. Tom, Diane and their adorable son Jonathan. We had a great afternoon gabbing and eating Brats on the grill. Thanks Eric. It was so nice to connect with another family who has been in this with us for years. Jonathan and Tessa shared the same foster Mom in Taiwan although Tessa was already home when Jonathan went in to her home.
Just the connection for the kids is awesome. So all in all a perfect, perfect trip. I enjoyed Wyatt, Ellie and of course their new little guy Emmitt. I had so much fun with the kids. I just wish we lived closer. They are such beautiful children and wish I could spoil them more often.
Well, I owe my fabulous surprise visit to Eric for pulling this off for Lori.
I want to tell ya how much I appreciate your hospitality for putting up with me for several days..... I promise to do it again. But this time Lori will be informed... LOL
