3rd Annual Taiwan Picnic.

Need we say more about these 2...... Having fun at the picnic wearing their I LOVE TAIWAN shirts....... We all had such a blast. I love this once a year.

My friend Pat said it just right. 3 yrs. ago I attended this picnic with just a picture of our sweet baby Tessa at 8 months and here it is 3 yrs later and we have added 2 beautiful children from Taiwan to our family. We are feeling pretty darn blessed to have had such a great transition with both of the children. With Trey being 5 when we adopted him I have to say I was afraid of what might be. My fears were more of his loss and grief of losing his foster parents and all he ever new in Taiwan. Well, they prepared him well for us and we will be forever thankful to them and Chung Yi orphnage for this. He still continues to do sooooo well, learning English so fast. Not much we don't understand anymore from him. He loves school, loves to read his books. He is really trying to read.... I love that he trys so hard. He is so open to express his love for us. And allows all of us to love him to death. Sleeps like a rock.....
Wakes us soo happy.....Tessa has settled in to being the little sister to him and is doing much better with playing with him. Instead of her always being the boss.... imagine that..... She misses him horribly when he is at school and he to her if she is gone. How truely lucky we are to have such a great houseful of 5 wonderful kids....

Moon Festival!

We all had a great time gathering with other families who have children locally from China to celebrate Moon Festival. The kids had a great time making lanterns, coloring, doing sparklers outside in the moonlight and playing a great dice game for prizes...
There were about 12 Chinese children this time. We always look foward to our cultural get togethers. I think Trey really enjoyed the Chinese Food the most..... and just being with other children....

Trey's Creation!

I just had to share what Trey put together and brought in to me the other day...
He said this is Gu Gu Tyler (big brother) the policeman.... He even pointed out his big muscles... Ha Ha... This little guy does not miss a trick....

Trey's first trip to the Ocean!

This is right after he took his first taste of salt water in the ocean when the wave knocked him down.... He brushed it off quickly and still continued to play in the ocean. We had such a fabulous time that day.
