We wanted to wish you the happiest 5th Birthday ever.....
I sure hope your package got to you in time. We wish we could have spent your birthday with you home. Can't wait to share those special days with you..... Your care package was held in customs for 5 days in Taiwan and after the 3rd day we finally had the real reason. I faxed a copy of the commercial invoice over with every item in the box needing a specified price. So we hope you enjoyed all the goodies and hope to hear news SOON when we will travel to bring you home. Our wait will soon be over.
Tomorrow marks 1 yr since Chung Yi gave us approval on our choosing you to be our son....Love ya...

Our First Skype Session with Trey JingLai
OK here goes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First off I was on the computer with my friend Lori M., my adoption therapist ha ha......
we were trying to get everything ready for our Skype session on Mon. night the 4th of May
at 11pm mind you this was Sun. night the 3rd and I get a pop up message that cybaby wants me to add them to my contact list on Skype in a little box on my computer. I ignored it. Then it went away.
It came back up again. So I said to Lori someone wants me to add them, told her their call name and she said hmmmmmm. Due to privacy I have only my contacts added. So I don't get riskeeeee photos. If ya know what I mean. So it came up again and I said to Lori someone with this call name wants me to add them to my contacts. I know cy baby looks familiar...............Lori said wouldn't it be funny if it was CY and your Skype was tonight. It was 11 pm....Then it dawned on me it was Chung Yi's call name. I thought they just might be getting set up for the next night, so I quickly added them to my contacts, then it came up again and I said, "oh no to Lori it is CY orphanage, so I hung up with her and took the call.
There he was.............. our beautiful son..........smiling big, real close to the camera and waving. I started to get upset cause I couldn't get any sound. So they hung up. Called right back after I ran upstairs and jarred 2 of the children out of bed, and of course Tessa woke up screaming and Daddy went up to calm her. So they called back and came back up on our screen and we still had no sound.........I asked if they could hear me and they said,"yes". Showed us a note saying, "we can hear you." I just kept saying Ni Hao Jing.. Now I was really getting upset. So they hung up again. I ran to the garage to get some of his new Tonka trucks to show him and the computer call came again.this time WE FINALLY HAD SOUND. Trey JingLai He was saying I Love You Mama and Baba. Then I started to cry. I explained to the social worker and foster Mom that we have waited so long to see him and talk to him on the Skype.... that I was so happy. We all took turns talking to him. He wants a new bike when he comes home and his favorite color is blue. He has 3 dogs there and said, No Problem! when we asked if he would help take care of our dogs here. He told Travis, our 16 yr old boy, brother handsome. He kept blowing us kisses and saying I love you.......Mama and Baba. He was coloring us pictures from his Mickey Mouse color book as we talked, then would show us them. He offered us candy, and showed us a car we sent him and wanted a drink from the Spiderman drink bottle we sent in the 1st care package. He showed us his Batman shoes also. It really seemed like everything they said to him in English he would repeat right back. He really is doing great with his English. Better then we thought he would. All in all after the big mess up with the night, had it not been for Lori and I on Skype together trying to prepare everything for the next night we would have missed it all and would have been completely devastated to say the least. Thanks my dear friend Lori... I really believe these Skype sessions can really help us and Trey have a better sense of who we are and hear each others voices prior to our traveling to bring us together. We hope to have at least one more.
This adoption has taken a long time but hey,,,,,,,, we will spend the rest of our lives sharing many special moments together and will be forever grateful for the chance to be Jings parents and to call him our son.
I promise not to mess up my Skype time again...........And to remember always that Adoption is not for the WEAK!!!!

Hearing went Smoothly!
We got notified on the 20th of April that Trey's hearing went just fine. We were told it could be
1-2 mos for our 1st ruling at that time we will be givin a travel date. C'mon we are ready today....
patience, patience, one I am usually good at but it will soon be a year since we were approved to adopt Trey. We are sorry sweet little guy. It has taken this process too long to bring you home.
